This ancient Greek linothorax was based mostly on the relevant pictorial evidence of the Macedonian frescoes who are dated between late 4th early 3rd century BC. Archaeologist Spyros Bakas from the association koryvantes gave some very helpful insight for this reconstrunction.
This hybrid linothorax consists of a thick veg tan leather base, followed by 6 layers of linen and glue. It features a light blue suede binding and decorative leather carvings. Two vergina suns on the shoulder piece (epomides) and a slightly embossed anthemion on the back.
