Embroidered linothorax

This embroidered linothorax features vivid colors and decorative elements. It is made with a thick leather base, white and purple linen, and natural leather binding. Around the waist, a natural veg tan leather belt was added, tooled with a meandros motif. The decorative elements on the fabric are embroidered by hand using a golden colored thread. Those are two vergina suns on the shoulder piece (epomides) and an anthemion on the back.

We work closely with the Greek historical association Koryvantes, following their recommendations on period specific design, construction and artistic interpretation.
